Day 1 : Flight to Diyarbakir from Antalya. Sightseeing in Diyarbakir. Visit Old City surrounded by triple walls, caravanserai, Four Legged Minaret ( Sheikh Mutahhar Mosque ) and Ulu Mosque from the Seljuk period.

 

Day 2 : After breakfast, drive to Hasankeyf. With its 700 years past, Hasankeyf will be inundated when Ilisu Dam is completed. After walking around this Roman city, move to Mardin via Midyat. Visit Deyr Ul Zafaran Monastery, dating back to 5th century AD, and Church of the 40 Martyrs, dating back to 6th century AD. Also visit Kasimiye Madrasa built by Sultan Kasim in 1502.

 

Day 3 :  After breakfast in Mardin, drive to Harran first, and then Sanliurfa. In Sanliurfa visit the cave in which prophet Abraham was born. Later visit the Holy Lake. According to legends, King Nimrod tried to burn Abraham alive, but God made fire into water and burning coals into fishes. Then visit Halil ul Rahman Mosque.

 

Day 4 : Move to Adiyaman, where Mt Nimrod is located. Walk up to the peak of Mt Nimrod before sunrise. Visit the statues of Apollo, Zeus, Hercules, Tyche etc. Watch the sunrise alongside the huge head statues.

 

Day 5 : Drive to Adana. Visit the Bazaar of Cauldron Makers and a Turkish Bath built in 1519. Then fly back to Antalya.
